Kimmy comes from privilege, but she's never known the privilege of family. Omar knows family, but has never known privilege. Each leads a life that the other will never understand.

Kimmy wants nothing more than to make something of herself away from her parents money and expectations and find out who she really is. Omar's only goal is to stay above the violence and keep his family and hood safe, because in with drugs on the streets like candy, and gang wars on every block, the only block he cares about is his own.

But when Kimmy moves in and her ignorance puts them all in danger, can he teach her the bond and loyalty of family? Can Kimmy prove that she's more than an outsider as she falls in love with the community she's found?

Will they be able to find family and trust in each other as tension and feelings build to a boiling point?
