Noelle Miranda Blaire Fawcett had always known two things since childhood.

The first was that she would be referred to as "Blaire" (her second middle name) for the rest of her life. Noelle, her given name, was reserved for her closest friends and family.

The second thing was that she had always known that she would one day make a career out of music. Music had always been a big part of her life, whether it be singing her heart out at school talent shows or writing her own songs in the privacy of her bedroom. To imagine a life without music in it would be pointless for her.

So when the opportunity arose to audition for the X Factor in 2010, Blaire seized her chance.

She had never imagined that she would make it into the competition.

She had never thought that Simon Cowell would handpick her and five other boys to become one of the most popular bands of all time.
