Jessica had never felt more out of place than she did living in Hurricane, Utah. The town, although picturesque and peaceful, was a far cry from the hustle and bustle of the city she called home. With only a small population, it was safe to say that everyone knew each other - except for Jessica.

She had moved there just a month ago with her family, and while they settled into their new home with relative ease, Jessica found it hard to fit in at school. She was the new girl, and everyone knew it.

Thankfully, Julie - a girl in her class - took pity on her and took her under her wing. The two quickly became inseparable, bonding over their mutual love of 80s pop music and their shared fear of Michael Afton.
