Once, a God and a Mortal fell in love but could not be together, owing to their different natures and roles. The God could not bring himself to abandon his sacred duties, while the Mortal was unable to reach the status of divinity to be with his beloved. In their final moments, the Mortal was determined to cling to his life in any way possible, and through his devotion and determination to return to his lover, he was able to achieve immortality. Ultimately, they were reunited in a bitter-sweet end, each finally achieving the status required to be together at last.
