Ravenna, an extremely rare female Avalyre that still has her wings, has spent her entire life bound to King Trystan and being regarding as the greatest treasure in the Kingdom. When the king dies, his son inherits everything including her. Unknown to Ravenna he's fallen in love with her over the years and decides to set her free. Now she is torn between staying and being guaranteed safety or leaving and having to learn how to survive in the world outside the palace walls.
