The story begins in a math class where a tomboyish girl and a bad boy meet for the first time. It's very early in the morning, the first period, and the students are hardly paying attention. That is until the girl walks into the classroom, Waylon is wearing ripped jeans, cowboy boots, and a flannel shirt.
