Fight to Forget (Sunstreaker x OC)

Two years after surviving the fight of her life, Medal of Honor recipient Melissa Smith comes home a decorated war hero, with commendations and medals attesting to her bravery and skill. To the higher ups, honorable discharge and full military benefits must seem like fitting repayment for the hero who repeatedly put herself in the line of fire to provide cover for her platoon, right?
Wrong.
Melissa doesn't know how to be a civilian, but apparently she can't be a soldier, either. A recent psych evaluation left her commanding officers no choice but to offer her an out after she froze under fire and nearly got her entire team killed. Her choice? Go home, or risk disgracing herself and the uniform.
But that only left her alone with the demons in her head.
Facing life outside the military is hard enough, but what will happen when a remnant of the best and worst moment of her life turns out to be more than meets the eye? Will she trust the angry yellow autobot assigned to protect her from Earth's most dangerous enemy, or will she put a bullet through his optic with all the deadly efficiency that earned her a name in Iraq?
