After coming up in second place in the 1997 Rap Olympics, Marshall Mathers is desperate.
Desperate enough to sell his soul to the devil for success that is.
Literally.
You see, Marshall didn't just lose a competition, that was also his last shot at finally making something out of himself and proving himself to all of the people that's always doubted him all his life, and yet he ended-up getting yet another door slammed in his face on his dream of making it big as a rapper. And it's always seems to be like this. No matter how talented he is, no matter how good he is at what he does, no matter how much love he has for the craft, he just never seems to be able to succeed.
So Marshall decides to try a different approach, something he's only heard about. Something that seems too insane to be an actual thing.
And it actually works. Mere days after summoning a demon by the name of Slim Shady and making a deal with it and selling his soul to it, Marshall gets a call from none other than Dr. Dre. And after that, everything is history.
Eminem becomes an international sensation, and nobody can touch him. Marshall finally has everything he's ever wanted.
Except, Shady is slowly taking over his life, and there is a price to pay for Marshall's newfound fame and fortune, there are sacrifices to be made.
Marshall is plagued by visions and hallucinations that threaten to slowly but surely drive him insane.
But on his downward spiral, he meets another one just like him.
A girl that's previously sold her soul for something that she's really wanted also.
And the two of them meeting, well, it might've just either been faith or the world's most cruel joke. They might save each other... or drag each other even further down into abyss.
Only time will tell...
