Marinette, Adrien and Chloe really needed to leave Paris, which they did as soon as they received their diplomas.
Adrien went to London, to live with his aunt Amélie and his cousin Félix. Chloe joined her mother in New York.

Marinette ended up in Gotham, where she meets two boys, on her first day at Gotham University. They both become her new best friends (outside of her two favorite blonds).
This friendship will lead her to a beautiful romance, with a new ally.
