It's been twelve years. What seemed like a friendship, seemed to grow into something more. Adrienne is afraid that everyone is out to hurt her. Kristian doesn't express himself and is more a follower than a leader. Can these two find it in eachother to open themselves up and be heard? Told in two POV's. These two young adults have every right to be have a happily ever after. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ I love family parties, I get to run around the house with my cousins and just have fun. The music from the basement is so loud, I can hear it from the second floor. My crazy family dancing, drinking, laughing makes these parties even better. The teenagers don't really like playing with us because they think we annoy them, so me and my cousins and some other kids run around and play tag and hide-and-go-seek. But all of it doesn't make time go faster, it's Christmas Eve and I can't wait to open my presents, where is Santa? "Adrienne! Come on, we're goin' downstairs!" That was my best friend, Kristian. We do everything together. I don't know how we know each other, but I'm happy that we do. He's a baby sometimes who still doesn't know how to ride a bike, and he's nine. I learned how to ride one this summer after my sixth birthday. One day, I'm going to teach him how to ride one.
