In her senior year of high school, Natalie Hope reunites with her friends, Adam and Barbara, at the funeral of the fourth member of their once-close gang, Jake. They remember the made-up superhero game they played as kids called "the Astronites," where they each had unique powers. That's when they are suddenly brought to the Astronic universe, where the game is real, their powers are real, and Jake escaped to before dying - and has gone missing. To save him, the Astronites must confront a dark villain who's raised an invincible army and anxiously awaited their return.
