"But what if it's not enough for me?" I choked out, the tears flowing freely now. "What if I need more than just your love?"
Dylan's grip tightened around me, his voice a desperate whisper in my ear, "My soul, my breath, my heart-it's all yours. Take it, Lilac. Make it enough for you."
My heart pounded against his chest, his words ringing in my ears.
"That's just it," I said, my voice shaking. "I don't want to take anything from you. I want you to give it willingly, without feeling like you're losing yourself in the process."
I could feel the tremble in his body, the anguish pulsing through him like a living entity.
"I'm giving it to you freely," he said, his voice gruff with emotion. "Everything I have, everything I am, it belongs to you. You just have to trust me."
I tried to pull away, but his arms tightened around me, his whispers growing more urgent.
"Goddammit, Lilac," Dylans voice cracked as he leaned his forehead on my shoulder. "I swear to every deity, every star in the sky, every spec of dust on a forgotten book -I pray to them all that I am only yours."
