Dr. Jahmal Mosley has contributed over two decades to educational leadership, effectively serving as a special education teacher, administrator, and director of academics. Certified as a Special Education Administrator, he is proficient in creating Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) for students facing a spectrum of challenges, from intellectual and emotional issues to physical disabilities. Dr. Jahmal achieved his Doctorate in Education from the University of Massachusetts, a distinguished institution renowned for its academic rigor and research innovation. His doctoral dissertation, "Perceptions of Principal Attributes in an Era of Accountability," was published in the Journal of School Leadership and garnered attention at the American Educational Research Association Conference. Passionate about educational equity, he is dedicated to eradicating the predictable patterns of student success or failure, promoting an inclusive approach that boosts the capacities of all students. Dr. Jahmal began his educational journey with a Bachelor of Arts in African-American History and Psychology in 1997 from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst. This gave him a solid foundation in understanding the external influences on student behaviors and learning outcomes. Currently, as the Director of Academics at Madison Park Technical Vocational High School, Dr. Jahmal oversees educational programs and curricular innovations. Previously, as Superintendent for Administration at South Hadley Public Schools, he implemented effective educational strategies to navigate the complexities of the COVID-19 pandemic.
