After the disappearance of his parents, Lanar was placed in a foster home.  Determined to find out what happened to them he begins a quest.  He tries to avoid any kind of relationship attachments, only to end up with friends.  The first of which is Aner.  Aner lost his parents  and was placed in a foster home just months before Lanar arrives.  Not wanting to be alone or see anyone else that way, he determinedly works on becoming  Lanar's friend.
