"Marry me!" I looked into his angry eyes and saw the fire burning inside him. He looked like he wanted to strangle me to death. "Are you crazy? You're out of your mind, Portman. You're nothing but a whore, running around!" he yelled. I wasn't angry at all. That's how most people saw me, and I didn't care. "You'll get everything you want. You want revenge, right? You want to make my life miserable? You have the power to do that, as long as you marry me." I tried not to flinch. I was always known for being tough, and showing weakness wouldn't help. "Let's make a deal." "And you expect me to make a deal with you?" He pointed at me, ready to leave. "I'll give you, my company." He paused. "And the chance to get your revenge." He looked at me again. "Kill me after you get everything-just don't fall in love with me." If this is the only way to save the company, I'll do whatever it takes, even if it means marrying the man who tried to kill me. Call me crazy for asking him to marry me, but I couldn't let the company my parents left me fall into the hands of the greedy. "You really are crazy," he smirked. "Think carefully about my offer, Mr. Sanders."
