I'm not entirely sure if this has been published somewhere else, but if it has please let me know. I hold the original draft of this poem that I'm publishing on this site. It was written by a dear friend of my family about the lose of her love in WWII. He was a pilot in the Air Force. And his plane crashed over Northern England. I even have the original newspaper clipping that part of it was featured in from 1944.

It involves a school trip where the plane crashes, killing the pilot and landing them on a tropical island.
