Lost in Wanderlust is actually a screenplay I wrote back in 2006. Believe it or not, it caught the interest of a few production companies. Unfortunately, the script would have been too expensive to film and since then, it's languished in a drawer somewhere (for real, all my scripts from back in the day are printed out and bound properly). What I decided to do a few years ago was to adapt the screenplay into a novel. I wrote about 13K (or the first act, almost) before I found it too time-consuming and unfortunately not very exciting to adapt (I prefer to work with fresh new characters, unless it's a series). Maybe I will continue it one day, maybe I won't. I'm vague because I hate making promises. The framework is all there, I just have to fill in the blanks - unfortunately that takes time, time I should spend writing new work. But you never know. Cuz you know what? It's really funny. Here is the start of the novel adaptation of the screenplay, Lost in Wanderlust. A romantic comedy.
