(A/N: this story I started writing years ago so some of the language and grammar is clearly from a young teenager so I will apologise in advance and I'm trying to edit as I post to make it an easier more fluid story to read. Also, this story is linked to another I plan to upload however it has a lot of plot holes I'm attempting to fix so come half way through this story when Sophie opens up to Thomas what she says will seen really out of the blue but will make more sense when the other story is uploaded. The first chapter is WAAAAY too long but I posted to see what kind of response I would get, if you want more uploads let me know and then I'll sort out splitting chapters into shorter parts for you guys to read! Thanks so much for taking an interest I hope you enjoy it!) Five years ago, at the edge of oblivion (aka teenage years) Sophie Johnson had it all. But then she lost it. She did not know how or truly why. And so she struggled; friendless, parent-less; boyfriend-less, in the worst years a girl will ever go through anyway. Thrust into a world of being an outcast, Sophie learnt how to keep to herself and survive - even making some similarly outcast friends. Until five years later she lands the main role in the production her school is performing - Aladdin - next to the boyfriend she lost so abruptly five years ago. Once again she's in the spotlight and she shouldn't care because come July she'll never have to see any of these people again. But the dam of surprises had broken and as secret after secret is revealed she realises she does care. Sophie's world is taken by the hands of fate and shaken well until nothing is as she imagined it would be - not even herself. Having to learn everything she's ever known - or thought she knew - all over again, Sophie has one other job: Mend.
