It's been 5 years since the world ended. The scattered remnants of humanity struggle to survive against smart, ruthless, and powerful zombies that have taken over the world. This tale begins with our hero The Black Reaper, as he came to be known during the war, finding a young and abandoned child that he chooses to save and train to survive. As the story unfolds we learn of Reaper's haunted past and strange connection to the zombie queens. Before this story ends the final battle will be fought and the question on everyone's mind will be answered. Will our world belong to the living or the dead?

"Any thought you ever had; memories, desires, your fears and your dreams, are all recorded and stored safely in the Quantum Cloud for your eventual revival. Death is now merely a transitional period to the next stage of your existence. As a QUBIT (quantum processing biosynthetic), you will experience a life free of disease and suffering. Time is no longer your enemy. Regret is a thing of the past. Each new day brings the promise of endless possibilities, spent in the pursuit of your own happiness, guiltless with the knowledge that there are no longer earthly constraints to inhibit you. This is the life you have always wanted. Welcome to your new beginning..." Akropolis is a city at the end of times, a sanctuary where the brightest and best have been housed since the last Great War. A genome defect has afflicted the majority of the population and scientists are desperate to find a cure. In the meantime, man has found his own salvation in the form of the QUBIT (quantum processing bio-synthetic), an android that is capable of prolonging life almost indefinitely, and yet what makes them human in the first place has been lost in the transition. The ruling council believes that salvation is nigh, but whether that hope arrives in time is questionable. The city's future depends upon the actions of a few individuals, all of whom are struggling with their own mortality. Quentin is the boy who dreams of death. Mia is the tortured soul. Trey is the soldier that defines duty. Misao is the future of the ruling council. Claire is the girl with a secret that will rock the foundations of their entire civilization. Unbeknownst to them, the entire fate of Akropolis lies in their hands. Either humanity will find a way to survive or it will sink slowly into the sea of extinction.

Glory in War: FUTURE OF THE PAST (Part 2) by Hirokatsu800
17 parts Complete Mature
Wars are not something out of the ordinary, are they? We hear about them every day. But for the people that live them, it is more than a punishment from the gods. It is a never-ending agony which the victims have to fight in order to survive. They fight to honour the fallen ones, to protect what they cherish the most, to make their stories heard. They fight for their glory which was lost alongside the people they once knew. They fight for a better future, one without conflicts, one with the freedom they wish to have. But even so, they try to live simple lives in the end, no matter what happens in the meantime. "But can you truly call it living if you cannot sense your freedom, if you cannot wander the streets of your own city without the fear of one day being discovered and killed because of the way you are born? Because of your gift from the gods? Maybe... But it is for us to see what future planned for its people." The second part of the story "Glory in War" focuses on learning the history of a convicted race which hides underground from a city ruled by a twisted man, unable to see the light of day, nor to feel this concept of "freedom" they've built. After a few problems encountered by these beings in the first part, they decide to take a small rest from all the matters they have to face every day. Yet even so, they cannot help but remember their past and everything that has happened throughout their journey. And it won't take long before the past will catch up on them and haunt them all over again.

But one day, Carl, the leader of their little gang, hears about a secret passway into Vegas. The only functioning city where only the selected few are allowed to live. But will they survive the journey in a world where water and petrol are worth more than diamonds and cash, and humans are hunted to be sold as slaves or meat. Will they finally gain access to the utopia of Vegas? ----- This is a post apocalyptic story set in a dystopian future in the United States, inspired by Mad Max, the 100, Star Wars of course and cyberpunk 2077!
