Colbie Perri's grandfather had always told her stories of the Corda Sitis, the dark creatures who thirsted after human Hearts. Not the physical heart, but the emotional one. The Heart that was a persons soul. Of course those were just children's stories...right? Unfortunately not. Her grandfather's crazy stories are proven to Colbie to be true the night her own Heart is stolen by a beautiful Corda Sitis and she is left with no emotions at all. For a while.
Never in her grandfather's stories had he said that anyone who had, had their Heart stolen ever got it back. In fact, he said they never did. So what happens when Colbie's Heart starts coming back? An even bigger question would be, what happens when she meets another Corda Sitis, Lucas and is forced to trust him when the entire race of Corda Sitis seem to be after them both?
