AM13 Outbreak Shorts
The zombie apocalypse has arrived, the virus has been dubbed as AM13, and the human race is struggling to survive. Here are some short stories to accompany Lockdown, Forgotten, and Extinct (but they can be read as standalone)...delve in and enjoy life among the undead! Outbreak: No one has it worse than Rachael! First her parents make her move to a crappy new town, then Zac starts ignoring her, and just to top everything off...the rumours of a zombie apocalypse seem to have more truth to them than anyone could have imagined! Quarantine: Katie did not sign up for this when she went to medical school. She's now working as a nurse at one of the specialist medical facilities set up for the AM13 virus. She doesn't want the humdrum of dealing with sick, dying patients every day, she wants to be the hero who finds a cure! As the Lockdown starts, and more people with the virus are bought in, can she keep control of the situation? Crackdown: Oliver might have a slightly shady past, but he joined the police force to make the world a better place, how was he supposed to know the whole world was going to go to hell? Now, with zombies roaming the earth, he has to try and follow orders, whilst sticking to his (okay maybe newly found) morals and stop his old self from coming back. One Year On: It's a year into the apocalypse, how are our favourite characters surviving? **Linked to Lockdown, Forgotten, Exctinct, Not Dead Yet, and the rest of the AM13 Outbreak Series**Lengkap

Riven: Losing Humanity
Isaiah is a 20-year-old college student stuck smack dab in the middle of Tampa Bay working as a paramedic in his free time. Away from his family living in New Hampshire, he explores life on his own. While on the job one morning, he confronts horrors he'd never think was possible. His aspirations of future careers and school come to a screeching halt as he's stuck finding his way back to his home, and his family. Isaiah's journey is filled with heartbreak and sadness as he experiences so much more than one can handle. Will he be able to navigate his way home, or will he succumb to the new world he has found himself in? *** The government covered it up as just another case of the bird flu, mad cow disease, you name it. No one suspected foul play, until cases skyrocketed just hours after the government announced a new strain of the bird flu. Rumors spread of people killing each other in incredibly gruesome ways, but society being as dumb as we are, dismissed it all. Dismissed it all until time ran out to prepare. I was one who definitely did not prepare. My name is Isaiah Benning, and I am a dumbass.

The changing of Winter | ✔
If Winter Harper thought life at her new boarding school was going to be easy, she was dead wrong. Everyone at ZBS-Academy has the same mysterious virus---one that's slowly turning everyone into terrifying flesh eating monsters, also known as zombies. The teachers are lifeless, and the food stinks. Literally. And worst of all, the clique of popular mean girls who rule the school have already decided that she's dead to them. All Winter wants is to go back to her old school, and be with her old friends. But until a cure is found, Winter is stuck at ZBS-Academy forever ... How will she survive? - - - - - - - - - - As if he knew what I was thinking, Jesse leaned over and whispered, "Transformation happens very, very slowly." He said. "It takes centuries to become a full zombie." I guess that was supposed to make me feel better, but it didn't. "Centuries?" I gasped. "You're immortal now," he told me. "Didn't anyone tell you that?" I thought back to the things that I knew about zombies. I didn't recall Danny saying that I'd live forever. It wasn't on the websites I looked at either. Would I be fifteen years old from now on? With no real friends at my new school? That didn't sound so good ..Lengkap

The Last Safe Place
The outbreak began quietly. A fever, a bite, a moment of confusion-then chaos. In a matter of days, an unknown virus has torn through the city, turning hospitals into slaughterhouses and streets into hunting grounds. It moves too fast, spreads too easily, and the world as they knew it is collapsing. For Miguel, Idz, Andy, and the others, survival isn't just about escaping the infected-it's about the choices they make, the lines they cross, and the people they refuse to leave behind. Trapped in a city unraveling by the hour, they search for the one thing that no longer seems to exist: A place that's still safe. But how long before safety becomes just another illusion?
Life After Death
"I hate everyone." "Except me, right?" "No, especially you." ⎻⎻⎻⎻⎻⎻⎻⎻⎻⎻ It's funny, isn't it? That when the whole world decides to become infected with a brutal and fatal virus, the real monsters are the ones still alive? Blake Finnegan lost most of his life before the apocalypse anyway. So for him, it's no problem. But can a group of four just as tormented teenagers change his perspective? ⎻⎻⎻⎻⎻⎻⎻⎻⎻⎻ "Genies grant three." "I'll take three." I shrug. "Two." He bargains. "Three." I say sterner. "One." He couldn't look any more relaxed. I almost take up his earlier offer on two. Almost. I'm still too stubborn. "Five." I cross my own arms, covered in dirt. "I-" He stutters, "You're going backwards."Lengkap

We don't have to like each other, many of us have had fights in the past, but that doesn't matter anymore. If we don't work together, we will die.'' An unknown virus has spread around the world at a rapid pace, causing the dead to come back to life as walking corpses. Scientists noticed the danger when it was too late, the world collapsed suddenly. The novel tells the story of the Kaczmarek family, who, losing their sense of security, abandon their morals and question their humanity many times in an effort to survive. 🥇 AMBYS 2024 WINNER - FRIGHTLengkap

*THE UNEDITED VERSION* Beware of typos, errors, and general mistakes. This is a very, very rough draft. "I live in a place called Compound 4. We are one of ten different compounds placed at strategic locations around the US. It's been thirteen years since the virus overtook humanity, turning about ninety percent of us into zombies. I'm not sure how it started exactly; that's classified information. I do know that in order to save what was left of the human race, the president at the time took a bunch of really smart people and kids and relocated them into new 'protected' cities. My father was one of those really smart people. I was only five at the time, but I knew what was happening." Within the walls of the compound, Jay makes stupid mistakes, mistakes even she doesn't understand, putting everyone inside at risk. All because she can't shoot someone. All because she misses the wind in her hair, the flowers on the hillsides, the sound of crickets at night. All because she's different, the only person untouchable by the Virus. When the mistakes begin to duplicate, and a girl shows up who knows her name, everything begins to change in Compound 4. Highest rank in Science Fiction: #9Lengkap
