One thing that my momma always knew I was, is ambitious. I don't give up, I refuse to give up. Blessing and curse should I say. I want people to know the truth. Not just know it but take heed. I've always dreamed of marrying a white man. Not because I wanted kids with caramel skin and curly hair. But because I want to know that there are people other than blacks who believe in equality. Who believe that racial division is a fluke. Who believe that any size, shape, and color, we're all human. But at 20 years old, I never thought it would be this hard.

I wrote this while I was in 8th grade of middle school and must I say I had to stand up for myself a lot. Because I'm a black girl I was seen as a threat to others and that I didn't deserve the same freedoms and rights as others. All of this is happening while I'm in middle school but this was a poetry assignment that I did for my ELA class. I believe I was thirteen at the time but as I kept this, I read it every once and a while. Now it's time I share it with you. I hope you like it and understand what I was trying to say plus express.

Handy, 40 years old, is an activist in Indonesia. since childhood he did not have a mother and lived with his father, had a hobby of reading books and since childhood he had dreams to help people. But at the age of 40 an incident occurred where a previously recovered heart disease reappeared, eventually he died. Then suddenly he came to his senses and was reborn as a baby. At the age of 6 years he began reading books that existed and knew that this world was different from the previous world. Xiaolian Kimi grew up in Harbin,China where dog meat sales are treasured. Her cousins started a dog meat farm and she was expected to do the same,raise,torture, and kill dogs.
