Byłam wtedy na polanie, w szkole. Grałam z Aśką w kółko i krzyżyk. Obok chodziła sobie lama i żuła sobie martwe pasikoniki. Miała na imię Laura. Podeszła do nas i zapytała -mogę też grać? -oczywiście- odpowiedziałyśmy po czym Laura usiadła mi na nodze i musiałyśmy wszystkie jechać do szpitala. Okazało się że Laura zadławiła się pasikonikiem i omdlała na 30 sekund ale potem wstała i pobiegła do mnie. Tata Laury wszedł do mnie i do Aśki ale na samym progu się przewrócił o swojego wielkiego rudego wąsa. Gdzie jest mama? - zapytała się Laura. -umarła. -Aha. -Aśka wyglądała na zdenerwowaną. -Co się stało? - zapytałam. -Jutro mam zawody. -na pewno będzie ktoś lepszy od ciebie nie martw się. - pocieszyłam ją. Zapadła minuta ciszy, dopiero w tedy Laura sobie uświadomiła że jej mama umarła, bo wcześniej sobie dłubała w dziąsłach bo miała resztki ogona pasikonika. - Czemu wogule to mama nie żyje? -Bo gdy się dowiedziała że w wyniku wojen opiumowych Chiny stały się zależne od obcych mocarstw zadławiła się serkiem mascarpone i zemdlała, a potem potknęła się o mojego wąsa i wyrżneła o karton z butami w toalecie. Lekarz powiedział że pod wpływem amfetaminy- odpowiedział tata Laury (lamy). Następnego dnia Aśka zginęłą bo upadła na nią 120 kilogramowa sztanga.

Thankfully, her kidnappers are completely unprepared for the whirlwind that is Edana. They reach a stalemate. Their secret must be protected, but they just don’t have the heart to hurt her, especially since most have somehow come to care for the crazy girl. They don’t know what to do with her, so they take her to the one man who does, Gabriel Potens. There, she discovers a prophecy - a prophecy that Gabriel is convinced is about her. He makes her an offer she can’t refuse, but accepting the offer was her third and final mistake. Gabriel begins to lead her down a path she'd rather avoid. Forcing her into a world she never knew existed and she isn't sure she'll escape alive. Good thing she's impervious to fear.
