I also took inspiration from many Wattpad covers and combined small details I liked from different ones. I also chose Kafka from HSR as a sort of visual theme for my profile, which influenced some of the aesthetic choices, like the butterfly, pink tones, and line details in Burning.
            
            For banners/dividers, I usually just pick images I like from Pinterest and build around them in PicsArt or IbisPaint, adding stickers, text, and effects until it feels right. I don’t really follow a strict aesthetic for them, so they vary a little.
            
            For Burning specifically, I combined a Jax fanart with a fire image, then layered everything in IbisPaint using blending modes like “add” and adjusting opacity. I also edited the text placement and added a custom frame with different brightness levels.
            
            For Protagonist and Protect, I kept it simpler: I used a base image, placed it on a clean background, manually traced the outline for a cleaner result, and then added frames and text. In Protagonist, I also added a quote from an Odetari song because I felt it fit the vibe.
            
            That’s pretty much it! I don’t really stick to one strict aesthetic for all my covers, but I try to make each one fit the story. I honestly think even simple covers can look really nice.

Hi, Quilly! Thank you so much, I really appreciate it. I honestly spend quite a lot of time adjusting my covers and dividers to make everything look as perfect.
            
            I don’t actually do anything too complicated (even though it does take me a while, mostly because I’m pretty picky). I use Pinterest, PicsArt, Polarr, Phonto, and IbisPaint X.
            
            On Pinterest, I usually look for character images for my fics and background elements. For example, in the Burning cover there’s a pink butterfly detail I found there. I don’t use PicsArt that much, but it’s useful for small details like stickers or FX, although lately I prefer Polarr for effects. I use Phonto sometimes for text placement, but mostly use  IbisPaint for that.
            
            In IbisPaint, I do almost everything: combining elements, resizing, adding details, and sometimes even drawing. For example, the pink lines in the Burning cover were drawn by me, and I also adjust small elements like dots or color tones to make everything look more cohesive.
            
            Honestly, I didn’t really learn editing from anywhere specific. I tried some YouTube tutorials, but I usually just experimented on my own since most tutorials are very specific to certain styles. I’ve been using IbisPaint for drawing for a long time, so I guess I just naturally started using it for editing too.

I love this book  genuinely amazing. I made one of my oc’s based of this and now she’s a ballerina. Hopefully that’s okayyyy. But you have this well written and I can’t wait for the rest of the chapters ‼️
