my silent salt update predictions:
          
          salt is.. unlike the other beasts. imagine he was once a curious cookie like lily, and only got corrupted because of finding out the truth about Cookies' creation (it's a cycle i fear). 
          
          the theory that the beasts had other names before their villainy supports this. personally i think his name was maybe bitter salt or versatile salt, honestly idk, but it could mean he just WENT silent, so he wasn't before, and refuses to speak because he doesn't want the truth to come out.
          
          now, imagine; he may try to fight lily for a bit, but soon realize perhaps they are not so different from each other. he decides to become her mentor, finally going against his 'friends' and  help her reach her awakened form.
          
          honestly, i can see him making that desicion and then disappearing for a while before actually helping lily out, his first and final words in the first part of the episode being "I'll be seeing you, Mistress of Freedom."
