          Sweet twin here! I managed to dig myself out from under edits, book clubs, and reviews for a moment! 
          
          Let's all take a moment to appreciate my Spicy Twin for being the absolute best and updating all the entries and accepting new submissions. She has kept this page running and has been doing double the work♡♡ What would I ever do without our fiesty, smart, amazing twinnie? Not survive, that is what!
          
          ♡♡♡ A FEW THINGS TO NOTE ♡♡♡
          
          1. Submissions are now FULL for Best Side Character and Besty Spicy Scene.
          
          You'll note that there are 11 accepted submissions for Best Spicy Scene. We know, we know...we said we would be strict. BUT, the app glitched (imagine that) and we didn't think it was fair to punish our lovely applicants for something beyond their or our control! 
          
          2. SUBMISSIONS CLOSE SOON! July 12th is the cut off friends! That's 2 days away, so if you are still on the fence...now is the time to submit!
          
          Thank you, once again, for all your patience, love and support as we host our first awards. You guys have made it a fun and exciting experience and we couldn't be more thankful!

Hello Hello everyone!
          
          Spicy Twin here and fresh from the bed. (I just woke up) (⁠^⁠^⁠) I noticed that many of you have seen our little announcement/update and have entered yourselves for another category. Thank you to everyone who has entered so far and to those yet to enter! We are looking forward to each recipe that steps up to the plate. 
          
          Now.... I'll be going through and updating/editing and responding to all the comments so we can get your entries in. Be sure to check back in an hour or two to make sure everything looks good with your second helpings of entrees. These are getting done pre-coffee so there are bound to be a few errors lol. 
          
          Also my twin is hard at work (literally as it's being so demanding of her) so she may be radio silent on here for a bit which means I'll be taking over our profile/entries for a few days (while she preps her book for the Wattys, reviews, and reads alongside that demanding work of hers) though you may see a drop in responses during the late mornings due to me sleeping during that time. I will do my best to keep everyone and everything up to date as we enter the final stretch of entries for our awards. (I also have to do all those things) (⁠〒⁠﹏⁠〒⁠)
          
          Anyway.... Remember! July 12th at midnight on Central Daylight Time is the deadline to enter. If you have been on the fence now is the time to help us fill those remaining categories. We still have a few that need more contenders like Most Savage Dialogue, The Sweetest Dialogue, Best Fire Lines, and more! So come join and let us see those amazing writing styles/fire lines of yours that will leave us breathless.

          Sweet Twin here! We hope everyone had a good weekend full of fun and hopefully nobody melted from the heat! 
          
          Please take a moment to appreciate my Spicy Twin's hard work—she went through and updated our entries, accepted new submissions, and wrote a new chapter for our awards book that you will definitely want to check out! I was sick for two days and have been drowning in reviews and editing my story for the Watty's, so my twin has been the real MVP this weekend! What would we do without her? ♡♡♡ 
          
          ANYWAYS! Please be sure to check out the new chapter as it drops! It contains some exciting news and an update on submissions♡ (Psssst, spoiler: You are ALL getting some extra submissions. So run and read that update ASAP to get the rules!)

Good morning, noon, and night everyone!
          
          Spicy Twin here! 
          
          We are pleased to announce that the Category — Jalapeño Popper — Most Chaotic Character has 10 full entries!! You guys know what that means! Our third category has officially CLOSED! How exciting! 
          
          Now.... we are fully in the month of July with 4th of July celebrations among us for those of you who celebrate. I'm curious who all have plans for the weekend? My twin and I are having cookouts with our people. (The ones we like.... not the ones we're forced to say we do lol) 
          
          I'm responsible for some sides and desserts for our cookout so my weekend will be busy cooking/baking and preparing. (Here's hoping it doesn't rain us out, melt us into a puddle, or both. Fingers crossed.) We are also still finishing up our previous commitments so during our free time (if any this weekend) we'll be doing that as well. 
          
          As we rapidly approach our closing date for all entries, we are pleased to share that almost every category has at least 3 entries. Why is this important, you ask? Because each category MUST have at least 3 entries so we can properly judge a 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place!
          
          To ensure that each category has at least 3 entries we will soon be opening up the ability to add your entries into another category! We are still working on the rules of said perk so keep your eyes open for the announcement both here and in the Awards book. And if by some sheer stroke of luck a category only has 1 or 2 entries still then no worries! We'll have you covered! It might just mean an easy win for you!(⁠◠⁠‿⁠◕⁠)
          
          Also my sweet twin is not feeling well so please keep her in mind so that she gets better soon. This half of the duo can't function without her heart. ❤️ I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend and we'll be back with another announcement soon. This is Spicy Twin signing off. Hey everyone! Announcement Time!
          
          Spicy Twin here! Back from the brink of hell and overtime. I was down and out with a severe migraine that has only now eased up hence my Sweet Twin handling everything the past few days. God love her. ❤️ I'm truly so blessed to have her as my Sweet Twin.
          
          But! Spicy Twin is back and in business!...... mostly. I'm no longer bed-ridden in the icy pits of hell and darkness, anyway, so progress. (Dante's Inferno reference, anyone? Migraine necessity reference? No? Okay then) Sweet Twin and I are currently piled under reviews, reads, and judging as we wrap up our prior commitments alongside our busy work schedules. We hope to have everything wrapped up in time to start judging everyone's wonderful entries which we are so looking forward too!
          
          I originally wanted to make this announcement so that one: you all know I'm alive again, (ta-da!) and two: to say with great pride that our Cinnamon Roll Category — Most Wholesome Character has reached 10 entries and has now closed! Again I say:
          
          Our Cinnamon Roll Category — Most Wholesome Character is officially CLOSED! It has reached 10 entries!
          
          That makes 2 categories officially closed now as our Spice Level: Soul Crushing Category has also been closed. Y'all are really trying to do a number here on poor Spicy Twin's heart, aren't you all? 
          
          Anyway, I'm back and my heart of this operation no longer has to work so hard. Let's thank her for being her amazing wonderful self and taking on the extra work the past few days while I was temporarily dead to the world. She's the best twin I could've asked for. ❤️
