I'm Kayla Winchester. I live with my three cats (Starlord, Gamora, and Harley Quinn), hundreds of books in my personal library, and my Bible. 

At 30,  I am a full-time teacher and aspiring author. The Marked Saga combines some of the biggest fantasy elements (elves, dwarves, dragons, magic, the four elements, vampires, and werewolves), and my standalone fantasy book, Oath of Embers, is an epic fantasy standalone that tells of a war between the celestials, demons, and those caught in-between.  I've also branched into the world of romantasy with Crown of Betrayal, my first told in first person.

In each of my novels, I try to write realistically and reflect real life, even though I primarily write high/epic fantasy. I want my characters to reflect real people with real struggles, even in worlds of my own creation.
