call me old fashioned but a straight girl and a straight boy can never be "just friends". one of them obviously has feelings for the other. i am not against that shit, i am not, but when the guy has a girlfriend or the girl's got a boyfriend, the insecurity gets REAL BAD. Like, they start comparing what you do to their bestfriend and then get defensive whenever the partner points it out. yes, be defensive of your friend, its necessary, but you also gotta look out for how your partner feels. and the worse thing? the best friend only realizes that they actually romantically love their "friend" when the friend in question gets a girlfriend/boyfriend.
