What age do you guys think it's appropriate to get a smartphone? I'm doing a petition to convince my mum.

I would say the age varies because some kids naturally mature faster than others. My youngest son had a phone before my oldest bc he was more responsible. I still had all of the safety features in place. Phones are very expensive and can get you into a lot of trouble if you are not careful. I’m sure if you can prove to your parents that you can be responsible by taking care of it, and doing the right thing; they may consider it.

@13LucyLu I think a mature 13 y/o is fine (But Under parent supervision) . But you should let your parents decide appropriately for you.
