sometimes, i close my eyes before i leap. it’s brave, it’s stupid, it might not work. it might. so i’ll do it again. i am publishing find your way home on amazon in about a month and by then, i will take it down from wattpad. it’s been a journey, and in a swift step to avoid stagnation, may we start a new one. there’s never really a destination. the way home IS home.

the reason i decided to abandon the paradise blvd story is simple: it was bad writing. i had a very tell, and not show kind of vibe with it. a lot of events that happen in the story don’t happen, the characters say they happen and that’s just horrible exposition. i’d like to call find a way home a sort of spiritual successor to paradise blvd and i hope i write a better story. a story where i show, not tell.

i started writing lapse a year and a half ago and since then, i have changed. everything that mattered to me then and everything that matters to me now are almost completely different, and whether i’ve grown or devolved is not up to me to decide. what i do know is the quality of my writing grew, and every chapter in lapse is a reflection of that. i beg you, mind the the holes and flaws of the first chapter, it grows into something much more beautiful. i hope lapse doesn’t come out as just brainless, generic cyberpunk junk and it reads as the profound, character-driven epic i believe i am writing. thank you to everyone who has read anything i’ve written before. i hope you enjoy this one. happy reading!
