the amount of people I've seen saying that they're so glad that their parents chose to live in the UK instead of the US is beyond ridiculous. we're lucky that we're not on the same scale as the US but we certainly have our own problems as well, if carrying guns everywhere was legal here, things would be 10 times worse than they are but police here love to move mad with a taser. we don't even get to learn about racism properly in history, we got like one assembly on it every few years at school and no one ever addressed it properly. the opportunities to talk about such issues only came through doing independent projects, all school ever cared about was glorifying the British empire and gaslighting people's racial experiences.Whenever my school would do promos, they grab like two students that will diversify the leaflet and plant them in the front and then proceed to blast that person everywhere. Whew if you guys knew some of the interactions I've had to withstand at school... anyways, American brothers and sisters you've inspired us a lot more than you know. Protests have been happening in Peckham, London over the last few days after the horrible George Floyd tragedy. We salute you guys for standing up for what's right, we all support you. Some of us have found stupid British lads mimicking the situation on Twitter and we've made them pay for it, can't say I'm sorry about it because racism is not something to joke about or take lightly
