Hey, I'm Tenzin and I'm 16. Ever since I learnt to, I have always loved to read, whether it be at home and at school. Although many people say the more you read the better your writing will be, my spelling has always been a problem that I have to contend with, and still do. Even though I have had teacher after teacher and spelling test after spelling test to try and improve it. I guess that's why spell check was invented haha! Despite always loving to read fantasy books, especially at a younger age, once I moved up to secondary school my interests transposed prominently. Granting all this, I was still loving to read fantasy, however, the grappling, in-depth, analysis of classic works at school enticed me into its trap. Consistently on a hunt to learn more about the authors we studied and what their other works were like, it quickly grew into a shelf-bending obsession. Whilst talking to my GCSE English teacher about ways to overcome my problems with spelling, she began to go on about how I was able to write creative prose as if I had done a degree in writing. At first, I just simply took her words as a compliment and confidence boost since I never believed that I had the ability to write well but then she went on to explore my options after GCSEs. Although she already knew I was taking Art, English and History A-Levels, she mentioned that if I change my mind on a job in the Art industry, I could go into English to become a teacher in further education or an author since she thought I had the capability to go far in those industries. Once she had suggested improving upon creative prose from past exams that I was proud of and scouting out opportunities at different universities and workplaces, I found myself here... where my writing journey begins (hopefully anyway)
If you have any recommendations on what I could write about, enquires or simply any comments regarding my work, feel free to message me.
