What's everyones biggest fears?
* Found a spider in my bed… is it poisonous? Yes. Was I scared out of my mind? Yes. Am I still more scared of elevators… yes

Me blabbing for five minutes cuz you guys are always so supportive even if I don’t know what I’m even saying… so, I’ve been getting like 5000 book ideas but a lot of them fall flat but I want something different and non romantic for whenever I jump to the next project, most of my ideas have been very YA so maybe I’ll do some creative project. ( if you seen the movie holes I had an idea similar but I kind of hate it too just because it's too similar idk)
Usually my themes go pretty strong, and sometimes my plot falls flat, so I want to work the next book around the plot I’m just not sure.
I know everyone wants to write amazing books, but I’m tired of creating work that I’m ashamed of and ending up deleting hours of effort later. My romance books typically have strong themes, which makes me love my characters enough to keep them. However, I’ve realized that I often convey the themes better than the actual romance. A majority of my stories aren't even true romances; they lean more toward the opposite but still include a love element, which is why I categorize them as romance.
Since I often gravitate toward thriller chapters, I’ve been considering that direction, especially after writing “Whisper My Name.” Kurt was a different kind of monster, if you know what I mean. Right now, I feel stuck. So instead of you all telling me what you want to read, I’d love to hear what you’re SICK of reading! Haha! Also, if you’re willing, please share your advice or, if you're just here for the fun, what's your favorite color? ❤️

@55hole I totally agree dear, because imo, like I love slow burn, yk? And those tiny, little loving scenes that make you get hooked right away is just chefs kiss! like if it's maybe like an action book with love or something, I feel the main plot would not to fall in love with your partner etc, but that would mainly show like little scenes since it's a slow thing and it shows how love can take so much time to process. but it's like a little heartwarming to see the characters hate eachother, then become love interests because it lowk shows how love can be found in any spot of the world, and I feel that the interest of books and tbr's online with what many say have a bunch of tropes that are questionable, when a lot of us just want our cute slow scenes! this might just be my opinion lol but I think alot of people including me & Like with the plot staying the same, it's hard for first time authors (we were once one too) to figure out how to spread the emotion evenly throughout the chapters that would be available enough to get someone hooked but not too emotional of a rollercoaster that people just stop reading because the emotion was just spilled on the floor and the rest of the scenes are just boring yk? but if you chose a plot/trope that would work evenly between your book, I feel that would be easier for us authors to get through yk?

@55hole Oh, this is such a tough question! I'm pretty openminded on the types of stories I read. I guess this is a minor complaint of mine that if a story has too many characters in it all at once, I really have a hard time following who they are. I need to be eased into it. Or else I just get confused reading it. It's not really a genre, just something that can possibly frustrate me, I guess. Lead characters that complain a lot or are superficial also brings me pain and consider not reading it. Plots and character decisions that don't make sense is also annoying when there are other options to solve the problem. Too much dialogue and not enough action makes it hard or me to follow what is happening! I guess these are more techniques that I am frustrated with. I cannot stand any texting stories. I want to read an actual story. No Y/N stories, preferably.

I really want to get back to reading, but unfortunately I had a death in the family this morning and I'll be taking some personal time to myself. If I read within the next week it will be inconsistent and particularly the books I've already engaged with

@55hole Brainstorming is easy but doing cohesive plot, managing character arcs, and creating engaging is the hardest.
