It has happened to me as well. It is frustrating.
I know some are scams being found out or folks deleting their account due to not getting on the app as much. Even possibly not having the money to pay for the books they want.

@AAutumnColette - Some of them are probably fake accounts, too. Bots get onto Wattpad, get found out, and get purged.

Lost a very close person to me… I still can’t frame reality around it…. It’s one of the hardest things about growing up your not taught losing those who once held your hand and taught you the delicate lines of life, wisdom, and an inspiring strength I could only aspire to be… my heart hurts so much…

Really realllllly debating writing an acotar with a dark rhysand with a long road back and an OC that’s stumbles into his domain after Amarantha let’s just say he’s become what she tried to hold him to be… the idea came and before I knew it tons of pages were written ha. It has been brought to attention (and I just personally experienced this) there’s been a huge influx of malicious comments targeting fandoms from Archive of Our Own saying the most heinous and vile things. These are NOT real they are AI spam bots they don’t mention your book, your characters, but will target you individually from your writing, grammar, you as a person. Do not fall for this trap keep writing your passions. They will be an unregistered guest and are aiming for you to delete your account and then make money off of it however that works. Be alert be aware spread the word because who knows what harm this could do to someone mentally as well. This is not okay. ✨✨

In literal tears right now and just for the nastiest review on archive accusing me of being something I am absolutely not by some guest account who has proceeded to blast my pen name… I am sick to my stomach and have reported it but I am in tears

omg don’t pay them any mind!! they’re bots and leave the most vile comments, they shouldn’t be allowed to ruin your peace like that. i haven’t seen any vile ones on wattpad, but unfortunately there’s still many bots here too. they’re all very obviously AI though, don’t take them personally <3 they don’t mean anything!

@MDjarin17 yeah of course! Feel free to share the post I just posted in whatever way. I’m sure it will happen ln Wattpad too at some point and awareness definitely needs to be spread because this could affect someone with a very badly and who knows what would then happen.
