1. Self doubt. Feeling like your writing is not good enough compared to the “polish” of a smart computer. A smart computer does not have humanity it does not feel emotions it cannot give the depth you can as a writer and therefore creates hollow responses you may feel. You are the creator; that is a machine. Don’t ever compare yourself to a generated response. You were given your creativity and imagination for a reason use it. While AI can be of use as a sounding board it cannot give you the ultimate visual you’re going for only you can do that.
2. Never EVER stop working that muscle using that muscle for writing. If you have writers block READ, listen to music, bounce off ideas with a colleague, write ideas in a notebook for scenes that come to your head (I have personally done this and it sincerely helps). I promise you it helps, and that block WILL go away. If you feel it’s subpar read up on books to improve writing, take classes, there’s tons of tutorials too online that are free to help get that creativity flowing.
1. I’ve watched friends in tears thinking they’ve honestly lost their ability because of their heavy reliance on it. If this is you I’d sincerely encourage what I just wrote above. You’re not alone, you got this. I promise just don’t give up. Writing styles are always changing, always evolving, but what makes it the ideal story is YOU what you come up with, what you shape, and the humanity, the core that can only come from a human being. Don’t let an app steal that.
