Dracula Untold 2014 film is the inspiration for my Dracula Untold fanfic book. As for Game of Thrones, no need to get into that since most know about the dreadful ending of Season 8. I wrote my GOT fanfic book before S8 ever aired. 
However I learned I had a copycat so I went dark for a long time; came back with changes to the stories and much more. 
No, I have not read the books due to George RR Martin taking over 14 years to complete the Song of Ice & Fire. I don't see the point in reading them since he will not finish them.
