I’m alive. I’m alive! I’M ALIVE!
I know, it's been a while. Life has been busy! In the last few months I had the trip of a lifetime in Vietnam, received several more query rejections, participated in RevPit (did not win), returned to editing VABT with a machete, read & judged a long list of screenplays for the Philadelphia Unnamed Film Festival, cheered my partner on as he was nominated for several cool awards associated with his work, did some home improvements, got one of my cats tested for hyperthyroidism (he's ok!), have been up to my eyeballs in work for my day job, am expecting the arrival of my new youngest nephew, read some real good books, and just learned about this weirdo “hot girls read” trademark debacle.
Despite some downs *cough, rejections, cough* life has been overall good lately. I’m happy. The only thing missing is getting back into the groove of writing and updating regularly. Which I promise I will be doing! I have forgotten about SoaC or any of you, my darlings.
I mentioned editing VABT (again). That’s been taking up a lot of brain space these days and I’ve def been working on fixing that manuscript up more than creating new material. The dream of traditional publishing is, admittedly, with a sigh, still a long way off it seems. I’m still also toying with the idea of self-publishing, which obviously comes with its own set of challenges.
Annnnd that’s been life lately. Just wanted to let you all know I am still here. I am still writing. I miss you. I’ll be back with updates to SoaC.

Those good books I’ve read lately = To Clutch a Razor by Veronica Roth (sequel to When Among Crows), The Secret of the Three Fates by Jess Armstrong (book 2 in the Ruby Vaughn series), How to Kill a Guy in Ten Dates by Shailee Thompson (my favorite book of the year thus far), and I’m currently reading Loving a Vampire is Total Chaos by Aura Hayes.
