"There is no greater agony than bearing an untold story inside of you" - Maya Angelou
***
It was this quote by Maya Angelou that I resonated most with. We live in a world where a quick Google will tell you the answers, the perspective of others and the history we have not lived. But Google cannot fathom the stories we hold inside, and thus my own stories were born.
I'm an extrovert. A crazy chatterbox, whose job is to help people find their voices, and an avid coffee drinker. I'm a proud Brit with south Asian roots and watch just as many shows as I read books. Pineapple pizza is my favourite food, but you can usually find me on the couch, with a tub of ice cream and my tablet, raring to go.
About my stories:
- Charlie and Dia - Wattys Winner 2020 (completed)
-After Goodbye - September 2020 Editor's Choice (completed)
- Licence to Choose - YA (completed)
Diversity and heritage are often weaved into my stories that can only be described as glimpses in time. They're slow burners that voice the thoughts and emotions of the protagonist, as they meet new characters, face hurdles that they may, or may not overcome, and readers are the witness to this. We grow with the characters as they make their journeys, choose their decisions and face adversities and propositions that the world wishes to offer. I can only hope you enjoy being present for the ride.
So that's a little bit of me,
Happy reading!
