Nom (despite what most people on the net seem to think) is short for 'Nominal' meaning 'meeting the standard minimum' and "AbNominal" means not meeting that standard. Whether it's above or below that standard is up to your interpretation.

I read a lot: fiction, action, sci-fi, and fantasy, most often although anything is fair game (I have even been known to read owners manuals).  Don't care much for superheros and have limited appreciation for first-person stories, although if done right they can be really good (think Mark Twain's 'Huckleberry Finn' or Lee Harper's 'To Kill a Mockingbird') - usually meaning you can read it without getting buried in the perspective of 'I' all of the time, and so far any attempts that I've done in first person are drowning in it...
