@AbbyBabble I've tried researching "how to launch" before but in the end idk much about modern day launches and I'm still really confused lol. But I think you're already doing so well! You've already gotten over that first major hurdle of writing something *actually unique* in a coherent manner and all it needs now is a polish and publish. You've already released book 1 and it looks so good! No spending years trying to figure out the sequel stringing people along, you're ready to go. I truly think this will work in your advantage when you begin to do more of your own marketing as well. Frankly I was surprised to read that Podium was doing ad campaigns at all, as I've heard that traditional publishers typically leave all that legwork up to the authors.
YA publishing is a tough niche to break into as well, so remember to take time for yourself to work through those feelings and rest. It can be hard and confusing when things don't quite occur the way you thought it would, but I always try to tell myself that that is normal. We can't predict the future so it will rarely work out exactly the way we imagined; we can't see the most likely futures like the Death Architect after all :) there's plenty of time in the future for things to change in your favor!
I cleared out my Kindle unlimited borrows the other day so I could get Majority and I can't even describe this feeling I get reading the polished final draft from the very beginning of the journey. Planning to get a hard copy later to lend to friends too. I also hope there'll be a box set when the last book is officially published so I can hoard it for myself xD granted I may not always be online/engaged but this is the first time I've been part of such a journey and I'm so glad for finding you all that time ago! The right people will come, I promise <3
