I wish we didn't live in a society that makes every form of affection into something romantic. I'm trying to tell my friend I love them, but I feel weird because platonic love isn't normalised.

My whole life I've been the teacher's pet (without ever wanting to be) I was always a pleasure to have in class.
Now I have been dealing with my anxiety and as I become less anxious, the teachers like me less and less.
Does this say something about school's values?

Many thanks to the first person who ever used the correct name and pronouns for me. When I was in grade eight there was some guy in matric who made a point of not deadnaming or misgendering me. Many thanks to my one friend who, since I came out, has been insanely supportive, has constantly used the correct pronouns + name and made sure he never misgendered me unless it was in a situation where not misgendering me would have outed me.
Both are great dudes, without whom I would be a lot less confident in my identity.

I'm currently teaching my mom to use singular they/them pronouns. It's fun having to be an English teacher for someone with a bachelor's degree in English.

Is it just me who has planned all the things I want for the second I get my freedom? I have this hypothetical future me through whom I live. I have a list of things I'm gonna do when I'm free of the school dress code and my parents.

My list looks something like this:
Tattoo (just a small, meaningful one on my wrist)
Nose piercing
Short wolf cut/soft mullet
Dye hair either black or emeral green
Maybe get top surgery
Be happy + comfortable in my own skin
