I'm a sociology PhD dropout with an award-winning background in running backwards-third place in second grade. I'd welcome a rematch.
My writing explores the intersection of climate collapse, societal breakdown, social psychology, and the search for meaning in our twilight hours.
Maybe my heart has always been broken, allowing in the light, giving me the unenviable ability to feel the pain of every living being. Or maybe I just wasn't made for this world-an aberration in a shared human evolution that favored the conquerors, the violent, the uncaring.
I write for those who've moved beyond climate debates and false hope, who understand we're in planetary hospice but are unwilling to surrender compassion. My perspective isn't for everyone-no bar graphs, no hand wringing, no calls to action, just observations and maybe some comfort for like-minded souls navigating the end times with open hearts.
When institutional trust crumbles and societal systems fail, I believe our capacity for kindness becomes more essential, not less. I seek to provide a compassionate framework for processing ecological grief while finding pockets of joy in whatever time remains. I call this the "Doomee Perspective" and lay out details on my website PositivelyDoomed.com.
Everything is going to be okay. Well, not really. But that's okay, too.
We're dying. Don't forget to live! 💛
