The wait is finally over, round 1 of ONC 2026 has officially begun over at the @OpenNovellaContest pofile! 
          
          The garden gates are open, and this year’s prompts have been revealed. Seeds of inspiration are ready to be planted, waiting for writers to nurture them into stories that grow, twist, and bloom in unexpected ways. Now it’s your turn to pick a prompt, take up your pen, and begin cultivating your novella.
          
          To enter round 1, choose your main prompt and write at least 2,000 words. Once your work is published, submit it through the submission form when it opens on February 10th, and let your story take its first roots in the contest.
