Hiya!
I just like to write really, there's not much more to it- sorry to be such a cliché, but then again what were you expecting on a book publishing site? A list of my top ten favourite Victorian sinks? Thought not. I'm in Year 12, studying my A-levels; Art, English lit, History and Media. I'm 17, so old enough to drive, but not old enough to drink- and I always thought the two went so well together.
I'm hoping to do something in the media industry- haven't narrowed it down yet though, don't think I ever shall. But I like making short films (the last one I got a bunch of guys to shoot each other and break each others necks and stuff) fake blood stains guys- I know this cos I forked out for a new shirt, damn hipsters. with their vintage paisley avante gaurde tops. However, I'm increasing finding myself warming to the idea of writing professionally. But probably not, after studying Fitzgerald, Animal Farm, Richard the Third ect I find myself incomparably terrible, I could never write like them, with such turn of phrase, fitting juxtaposition, animal imagery and contextual influences into my work is just not possible. I am not that forward thinking. I am too simple for such things. I shall leave the beautiful creations to the old masters. Unless I spent years on the damn things, but I'm hoping I'd have won the lottery by then. Then maybe I'll do it, sipping champagne by the poolside on my own private island, tapping away at my waterproof solid gold laptop...
More then anything I want comments and feedback to my writing, because I want to improve it so much, and I'm not a marshmallow, I can take honest critique, I won't dish out salty responses- unless I look at your book and its more poorly written then mine, which in that case I will laugh at your expense. I always prefer brutal, soul crushing honesty.
My favourite book of all times by a long long way in some stratosphere all of its own, shrouded in holy light, is HalfBad by Sally Green.
