I write novels, short stories and screenplays. I am the author of seven published novels: Island Song (2008), The Lonely War (2009), Match Maker (2010), and Butterfly's Child (2010), Daddy's Money (2012), The Plain of Bitter Honey (2013), First Exposure (2014). I have also published two short works of fiction: Simple Treasures (2011) and (Haji's Exile (2011). 

I live and write half of each year at my home in Southern California, and spend the other half of each year traveling the globe with my husband, Herman Chin.
