Hi! I'm Ava, or Alberta. I don't mind which you call me. They're both names that people have. But Alberta is what I represent. It's a province in western Canada. We're not doing so well lately because our barrel of oil took an over 50% decrease. This past spring and summer, our weather was really dry so we ended up having to declare an economic crisis. But I have a new boss now, and she said things would get better soon! Until then, I'm stuck with this cold. 

I guess I'm pretty friendly. And I used to know French, but then that MacDonald person made English more important around here. I've forgotten most of it. And, if I'm honest, it's a bit inconvenient...Chinese and German are more common around here... but don't tell Papa I said that, please. He still misses Grandpère and if he knew I said that I think he'd be upset. 

Anyway, here's a bit more about me!
-A person named Wayne Gretzky played on the Oilers hockey team! That was a while ago, though... we-we're getting better at not losing!
-Saskatchewan is my awesome twin! 
-If anyone asks, I DID NOT steal Uncle Alfred's delicious steak marinade recipe at the barbecue last summer, despite the popular belief
-I have black hair and green eyes, and pale skin. But it's burnt. We're a sunny province...
