Alexandra Hawthorne is my pen name. Before I took computer to paper, I was an educator and a lawyer. I taught first grade and college age students--really not that much difference between the two except height. Then I attended law school and practiced law for a number of years. The experience in first grade was most helpful when navigating the many nuances of the law. 

Now I write about the inhabitants of Midvale Corners. Penny Johnson, middle-aged, newly licensed lawyer, has opened her practice there. With the help of Althea Riversmith and the members of the Midvale Corners Literary and Investigative Society, she solves the mysteries that crop up in a small town while defending the rights of the citizens.
