I live off cups of tea, like any good Brit.

I've always been a writer, from as long as I can remember. I wrote my very first short story when I was seven. It was about a girl called Jally Juicy! She went on an adventure in the woods and met a troll who became her best friend. Ever since then I had the bug for writing, especially if it involved the supernatural.
I hope to become a grown up writer now; I have mountains of ideas that are just waiting to be chiselled into, what I hope, are good stories for people to enjoy. My biggest weakness is definitely passive voice, (and grammar), so look forward to that.

My favourite book is difficult to pin down; The Ocean at the end of the Lane, The Iron Butterfly, Blindsighted, Of Mice and Men, are the ones that spring to mind right now, but are all very different from each other. I've just started the Mistborn series which is very promising. Of course the Harry Potter series helped when I was kid, as did the Nightworld series as a teen. So crime and fantasy are my jam, for sure. Although I am very picky with what I read, so it's difficult for me to finish a lot of books, but those I do, tend to stay with me for life.

I'm a gamer, so I'll likely be posting a Fallout inspired fanfiction, whilst I find my feet but hope to begin work on plenty of those original ideas too.
