The Triad of the Fallen Star

In the world of Almoris, where the Weave stirs beneath the weight of faith and reason, three souls move unknowingly toward convergence — each carrying a fragment of something older than memory: the echo of The Star That Fell.
Lysandra, the Rose of Mirrors, embodies the heart — emotion, allure, and the fragile beauty of truth hidden behind masks. Her charmcraft, once a means of survival, begins to unravel as she rediscovers the raw pulse of the Weave. Through her, the world’s forgotten magic learns to feel again.
Daren, the Reluctant Investigator, represents conscience — the moral centre between faith and knowledge. In him lies the tension of duty and doubt. He seeks truth not for power, but to understand what is right when both Church and science begin to blur. He is the steady flame that refuses to be extinguished by control.
Cael, the Engineer of Fallen Stars, is the mind — the seeker who measures the unmeasurable. Yet his instruments, once loyal to logic, now respond to something human — memory, light, love. His arc mirrors the cosmos itself awakening from dormancy.
Together, they form a quiet trinity:
          	•	Heart that feels,
          	•	Mind that seeks,
          	•	Conscience that endures.
Their fates are threads of the same celestial fabric — fragments of the star that fell long ago.
As the Weave trembles and the Hollow Moon rises once more, their reunion is not chance, but remembrance. Through them, Almoris begins to remember what it means to live, to burn, and to love beyond the veil of illusion.

Get to know - Cael Nareth

Cael is a scholar-engineer of the Spire — quiet, brilliant, and introspective. Known as the Engineer of Fallen Stars, he studies celestial anomalies and the remnants of etheric energy left by the Star That Fell. To his peers, he is a man of logic; yet beneath that calm is a poet’s heart and a memory he cannot name.
His devices begin to react to the Weave’s tremors — and unknowingly, to Lysandra’s presence. Drawn to her through pattern and resonance, Cael becomes the rational mind drawn toward myth, the scientist chasing something beyond understanding. His arc mirrors the Weave’s own reawakening: cold structure giving way to living connection.

          Appearance:
          Age: 24
          Race: Human
Face: Dark brown hair, almost black; perpetually tousled from long hours in labs.
Steel grey eyes with faint streaks of gold near the iris — a rare side effect of prolonged exposure to active mana fields.
Build: Lean, about 6'1'', strong hands marked by burn scars and ink smudges.
Attire: Simple shirts under reinforced vests woven with conductive threads. Always wears a pair of brass-framed lenses resting on his head like a crown of practicality.

Get to know - Daren Hald

A veteran investigator working for the Spire, Daren is methodical, pragmatic, and quietly disillusioned. Once idealistic, he now serves an institution tangled between science and faith. Beneath his stoic exterior lies an instinct for empathy and a deep mistrust of authority — traits that place him at odds with both the Church and his superiors.
Daren once knew Lysandra years ago, though the memory is buried in time. Drawn to her both professionally and protectively, he becomes the bridge between the world of reason and the realm of the Weave. His connection to Magister Selane and the secrets of the Shard of Hands pull him into deeper truths — and into moral conflict as the Church’s reach grows oppressive.

          Appearance:
          Age: 29
          Race: Human
Face: Ash-brown hair, kept short but always a little untidy, as if he’s been running his hands through it while thinking.
Iron-grey — calm, analytical, often unreadable until emotion fractures through.
Build: Lean and tall (about 6'1"), the kind of frame built for endurance rather than brute strength.
Skin: Weathered from long nights and travel; a faint scar runs along his jawline — a remnant of a case gone wrong.
Attire: Prefers functional clothing — dark waistcoats, reinforced leather coat, gloves stained faintly with ink and dust. His badge of office is usually hidden inside his coat pocket rather than displayed.

Get to know - Lysandra Vale

Lysandra is a courtesan of Elaris. The capital city of Aurelia, the empire of Steam and Aether.
Renowned for her wit, grace, and quiet danger. Beneath her composed exterior, she hides her forbidden mastery of charmcraft — the art of weaving subtle emotion and persuasion through the Weave. Born to a mother once tied to an ancient magical sect in the Verdant Marches, Lysandra grew up between faith and fear, learning to survive through poise and illusion. The silver pendant she wears — a crescent moon encased in a circle, by some who dig far enough, known as the Hollow Moon — is her last link to that lost world.
Her charmcraft, once flawless, begins to falter as the Weave stirs. Her reflections flicker, her power becomes unpredictable — a mirror of her own growing unrest. Through her encounters with two men, she’s drawn into the slow reawakening of the Star That Fell. A myth, a bedtime story.
Though she doesn’t yet understand her place in it.

          Appearance:
          Age: 23
          Race: Human
Face: Reddish brown hair, layered, soft waves falling just past her shoulders. Amber orange eyes with faint glowing flecks when she channels mana.
Sharp jawline softened by delicate cheeks; beauty that shifts slightly in every light.
Skin: Pale with a golden undertone; flushes easily when emotional.
Voice: Low, melodic — she speaks like a promise she might or might not keep.
Dress: Prefers silks and layered corsets in black, wine red, and muted gold.
