I am firstly and passionately a poet. I am deeply in love with poetry and the person it makes me. Secondly I am a humorous, loving, crazy hyper-empath. Last but not least, yes, I am a lesbian. This taught me to be very accepting and reach out to people as lots of people don't really accept me. I am not ashamed of who I am. I have built myself a great support group and group of friends. I am content with those who accept me.

This is me

I'm tired of all your sideways glances,
the whispers when I walk by.
Why don't you come stand here infront of me,
so we can talk eye to eye.

Truth is I don't like sundresses,
make-up and skirts.
I'm fine at most with a little mascara
and a jean with my favourite shirt.

I'm still soft, I'm still a girl,
the only difference is,
I don't fit your mould
For the perfect world.

"I kissed a girl,
might have loved one too."
After those words,
the world treated my like an incurable flu.

Who are you to judge me?
A world of sinners alike.
Who are you to say what's right,
what gave you that special insight.

You tell me to hide who I am,
well I have news for you.
This is me, so deal with it,
I won't change for you.
