Hey guys. I've been a little let down updating Wattpad lately, so I'm sorry!  The first kick in the gut was that I lost over 51K followers. That sounds trivial to complain about, but it took me over a decade to hit 100K and I know I'll never hit that number again.
          	The second hit was someone sent me a screen shot where it said watching a Wattpad ad "Supports me as a Wattpad author". That's an utter lie, I don't get compensated by Wattpad to write.
          	So yeah. I've been annoyed Wattpad is profiting off of authors and then lying about it to people reading their stories. 
          	I'm trying to finish my stories I have posted on here, but yeah. That's why I've been absent. 
          	
          	If you managed to make it through my late-night rant, thank you. lol

@Alycat1901 aw girl I'm so sorry to hear that. I completely understand how heart-breaking it is to see the rewards of all your hard work just vanish in a matter of days. Wattpad isn't the place it once was and sadly that's just the way it is.
          	  
          	  You have every right to feel disheartened, but remember the key reasons why you first started writing and made that choice to continue to where you are now (*^_^*)

hi!! just randomly came back to wattpad because i was thinking about your book silent knife (my 10-11 year old self ate it up so much) and was wondering if you would ever update or at least let us know what the ending would’ve could’ve been lol (this was one of the first cliff hangers i ever read and still think about to this day) :))

@madelainecross Funny you ask.... YES! I've been working on revamping my old version of Silent Knife, I think you're really going to love the new version! I'm planning on releasing new chapters in February after The Cannibal Bride is published.  Thank you for coming back to Wattpad! :)

I have lost 43K followers and counting in the last 48hrs.  Wattpad claims they're taking down inactive profiles. At this rate I'll be lucky to have 10K by the end of this purge.  Anyone have a better reading/writing website to go to instead of Wattpad?

@Alycat1901 yeah it's heart breaking to see our hard work just disappear like that without warning.
            
            And I've just had a look at Inkitt and nope, no ads, there are in-line comments now, tho the layout is quite different but that's to be expected lol. It's not as interactive as Wattpad, but I do feel the algorithm allows you to reach greater audiences (*^^*)

@winteringpages-  We'll see what the next few days brings.  I'm down 54K followers and still dropping. It's a kick in the gut considering it too me a decade of being on Wattpad to get to 106K followers. Does Inkitt make people watch ads too?

Is anyone else losing a large amount of followers within minutes?? 
          I've lost 24K followers so far and I don't understand what's going on. Surely that amount of people didn't start disliking me within minutes. lol

@KittyKash92 At this point I'm honesty going to be surprised if I have 10K followers left by the end of the week. I've lost 36K followers. You'd think Wattpad would do some reflecting if that many people honestly stopped using their site.
